Request a Quote →A design brief should identify who needs to see the piece, what they should understand, and what action they should take. A flyer announcing an event needs different emphasis from a product ad or a business introduction. We establish the wording, required details, brand elements, and intended placement first. That gives design decisions a practical purpose and makes review less dependent on personal taste alone.
An existing logo, color palette, or type style can guide new materials. Where those elements are inconsistent or missing, a focused refresh can be discussed. Supporting graphics should feel related without making every piece identical. A brand project may include approved logo variations, basic usage notes, or a set of reusable layouts, depending on the brief. Naming, trademarks, and legal clearance are not implied by design work.
A social post, printed flyer, website banner, and vertical ad have different dimensions and viewing conditions. We plan the hierarchy and cropping for the agreed formats. Resizing may require moving text or simplifying details, rather than stretching the same composition. For print, specifications from the printer should be available before final artwork is prepared, including required dimensions and production requirements.
The proposal identifies the concepts, revision allowance, and final files. Feedback is most useful when it addresses the message, accuracy, brand fit, or intended use. Editable source files, licensed photography, fonts, and printing are handled explicitly in the scope. The finished package should make clear which file is intended for which use, so you do not have to guess when uploading or sending it to a supplier.
A shop is planning a weekend promotion. An example design project could include an approved main flyer, a square social graphic, a vertical story version, and a website banner. The same dates, offer, and contact details would remain consistent, while each layout would be adjusted for its destination. Photography, printing, and paid ad management would be separate unless included.
The number of concepts, format variations, illustration or photo work, source-file requirements, and revision rounds affect the quote. A single promotional piece and a reusable brand system are different scopes.
